Firewall Enterprise Enhancement Kit

This kit fully integrates with the enterprise bundles for combined virus scanning, content filtering, and log analysis. This fully installed kit includes 1000 user license of E-Safe Virus Protect Gateway, a 1,000-user, single-year subscription of WebSense content filter, and a single firewall license of WebTrends for firewalls and VPNs. This solution requires one to three high performance NT workstations and a copy of Microsoft Word.

Just like its enterprise cousin, the Firewall Medium Business Enhancement Kit, FW1-MKIT, fully integrates with the medium business bundles for combined virus scanning, content filtering, and log analysis. This fully installed kit includes a 250-user license of E-Safe Virus Protect Gateway, a 250-user, single-year subscription of WebSense content filter, and a WebTrends for firewalls and VPNs. This solution requires a single, high-performance NT workstation and a copy of Microsoft Word.

Virus Scanning
Venture Technologies has partnered with Aladdin, a Check Point OPSEC partner, to fully integrate their E-Safe virus scanner into the Check Point's FireWall-1. Our firewalls can scan outgoing as well as incoming email to prevent embarrassment to your company (or worse in today's litigious society), and automatically quarantine, delete, and/or clean any file that contains a virus. When cleaning email, the virus scanner can also inform the sending and/or receiving parties about infected attachments. E-Safe also scans web and FTP traffic for hostile content.

Content Filtering
Venture Technologies has integrated WebSense, content filtering software a best-of-breed Check Point OPSEC product, into the enhancement kits help enforce a company's network acceptable use policy. Our firewalls allow a network administrator to block access to certain categories of sites, either glob-ally or by user-group and time of day. By monitoring Internet usage, the Enhancement Kit improves worker productivity, relieves stress on valuable Internet bandwidth, and removes liability for inappropriate use of the Internet. Given recent legal precedent for inappropriate Internet use, including sexual harassment based upon office workers browsing pornographic sites within view of others, these liability concerns cannot be overstated.

Log Analysis
Most firewall logs fail to provide data to the network administrator in a way that is informative or indicate trends overtime. As a result, firewall logs are all-too-often ignored. The Firewall Bundle Enhancement Kit solves this problem by integrating WebTrend's firewall log analyzer, which processes the firewall log and presents the raw data as useful information in one of many, easy-to-use report formats. Report formats include HTML, Microsoft Word, RTF, and ASCII.
