hosted under Venture's NetHost service?
A: Venture's environment can support virtually
any Windows-based application. To date, over 240 different applications
have been tested and hosted on our systems.
What are the user workstation
requirements?
A: Virtually any PC or laptop that runs the
Windows operating system and has a browser can utilize our NetHost
service. There are no special processor, memory or storage requirements.
How do I connect my business
to Venture's NetHost Service?
A: Connectivity can be achieved either through
a private data line directly to our Data Center or via a persistent
Internet connection. Mobile users can connect via the Internet
and access their programs and data as if they were in the office.
Is my data secure on Venture's
servers?
A: Venture Technologies Data Center is designed
to protect valuable data from internal and external threats.
Our network is guarded by state-of-the-art firewalls, intrusion
detection systems, virus detection and scanning systems. We
constantly refresh and administer these systems to ensure maximum
and optimum protection. The JSU e-Center is fenced, gated and
requires clearance through a 7/24 guard.
Who owns the licenses for the
software hosted by Venture?
A: Venture owns the licenses for selected
office productivity and industry specific applications, operating
systems, utility and security software, etc.. Use of these applications
is included in the monthly subscription fee. Venture also hosts
many specialized applications that are owned by its subscribers.
Is Venture's NetHost solution
HIPAA compliant (important for hospitals and medical services
providers)?
A: Our facilities are HIPAA compliant in regards
to PHI. We restrict access to our systems, have an acceptable
use and privacy policy, and take many steps to prevent unauthorized
access to PHI, and we do not sell our customer lists, or any
information on our customers, to 3rd party companies. As to
the Security proposed guidelines, we currently meet all the
proposed security requirements per the HIPAA recommendations. |
